Greetings from Prince George, BC, Canada

From: Art & Gloria Arcangel,
MERRY CHRISTMAS & all the best in the New Year--2008! to all SRF-Shop 31, old time friends!!!

Where did the year go? Suddenly, it is December...again--and we realize that with giant strides, we started in January and with a blink of an eye, 2007 is on its back!

A big "Thank You" to each and every one of you, for the huge impact you had on my life this year. Especially, for all the support and e-mails I received...without you, guys, I'm sure that 2007 would have been extremely boring.

From my side, I wish you all a magical Festive Season filled with Loving Wishes and beautiful thoughts.

May 2008 mark the beginning of a Tidal Wave of Love, Happiness and bright future.

And, to those who need someone special, may you find that true love.
To those who need money, may your finances overflow.
To those who need caring, may you find a good heart.
To those who need friends, I am still here for you.
To those who need life, may you have a good one.
Thanks for being my friend!

AHA! Open House

Today, Thursday, 25th, 2007 (11am--5pm) Food, Music and Art sales were the order of the day! The people kept on coming, they came with their friends and friends of their friends, too! I was busy finishing my blueberries painting, but so many wanted to talk to me, the blueberries painting cannot be finished today, that's ok!
Somebody wanted to see my painting of arches, that was on Invitation flyer and I told them it's already sold but I can make another one. And that lady, made a deposit and told me to take my time to really finish it.
And the food were edible, nooo, I'm only kidding, was fantastic and I had my fill!
Other artists were there, too! Derek, Jessica, Shirley and sculptor, Otto. AHA Director, Moe was happy with the event with her volunteer, Christine. Of course, the people who came, Thank you!

Spruce Capital, Prince George, BC, Canada

In the early 1800's, Simon Fraser, a partner in the North West Company, thinking he was on the Columbia River, followed the river, which now bears his name. In 1807, on the West bank of said river, just South of where it is joined by the Nechako River, he erected a trading post. Mr. Fraser, in honour of King George III, named the post, Fort George.
Now known as Prince George, this city is, literally, the heart of B.C. Located amongst millions of hectares of spruce trees it is known as the Spruce Capital of the World because of its economic base in the logging, and pulping, of spruce.

One of our members and former Subic Bay SRF-Shop 31, Art A. is from Prince George, BC, Canada.
I hope, in one of our coming yearly reunions, he will come!

We (Templeton Stroke Recovery) went to Harrison Hot Springs to see the Sandcastles Competition. Many countries competed in this event. China, Russia, Poland, Americans, and Canadians, to name a few.
I always remembered when we went on a September's bus trip: Mission and beyond East, it's always raining, but not this time!
The sun was brightly shining in the afternoon and we're on the shade all the time! It was a humid day.
The bus we're on had nice lettering "Burn-A-Bee Swinging +60 Seniors " and everyone wanted to see the passengers. Are they really swingers?
